Joanne demonstrates and clearly explains her composition secrets and shows an easy path to falling in love with your own lettering! You will learn how your own handwriting can be gorgeous and just how much it can uplift and enhance the meaning of your artwork.

Jane shares her love of watercolour and how she uses it to create beautiful, expressive art work and art journal pages that speak to the artist and viewer. You will learn how using ink and watercolours in a  loose and seemingly care-free way can create sumptuous and truly unique artwork.

This workshop is is perfect for this time of year! Imagine cards and gifts that feature your artwork! Beautiful, quick, easy and, best of all, fun!

For ‘Davenpeeps’ (people who love all of Jane’s workshops!), this will be an EXCELLENT warm-up to Jane’s upcoming WONDERLAND watercolour workshop

After the last few years I’ve been through, including a major flood, my husband dying of a brain tumour, my daughter having Ross River virus, I feel a strong connection with this quote by Louisa May Alcott.
“You are an extraordinary woman. How can you expect anything ordinary to happen to you”.
Out of much pain, comes great strength and understanding of what’s important in life.

“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.” Oprah Winfrey

I have been searching for so long for my calling and it has always been to be an artist but, I’ve never believed in myself. Now, I’m trying to change that and get the skills I need to be more confident. I would love to do this workshop because I think this style would help me to silence the inner perfectionist critic.

Thank you and I love your art.

I hope this is the right spot!! I love both Jane and Joanne…I have had the WONDERFUL opportunity to meet both of these lovely, giving women. Their classes are THE best! Arrgggh! Which quote to choose! One quote I love that is attributed to Franz Kafka, but really is credit due to Anne Rice: “Don’t bend; don’t water it down, don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.” The other one I love, which is misattributed to Mark Twain, but it was really Agatha Christie’s quote: “The secret to getting ahead is getting started.” Isn’t that one awesome! They really both apply to art – LOVE! Thanks for this wonderful opportunity, ladies!! Cary

I just love words and I have enjoyed Joanne’s book immensely! One of my favourite Miss Quoted ladies is Audrey Hepburn .
“I love people who make me lauch. I honestly thin it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.”
I love words so much that I made up a DJ name for myself to have fun with my boys. My DJ name is “DJ Discombobulated Onamatapoeia” since those are 2 of my favourite words. I told my boys “DJ Discombobulated Onamatapoeia is in the house!” My boys are now 15 and 17 so they tried not to laugh but I know they secretly liked it!
Thank you for this opportunity to win this amazing course with 2 amazing women. Tami xoxo
