Layer Cake Paints are the best (IMO ❤️) medium for stenciling! They deliver crisp, clean results with no sneaking and creeping under the stencil like acrylics and watercolours do! And because they are paint, you can mix colours easily, unlike stamp pads and pastels ( which are my other fave methods for stenciling). “layer Cake paint is what gouache wishes it was!”. Layer Cake is Exclusive to JaneDavenport.com and my first self- funded paint! It’s an exciting step and one I am so delighted to share it with you. You won’t find them anywhere else except my website for now and We ship all over the world, every day❤️ On a side note: I’m also super proud that I just edited this little video from my phone and it was pretty fun and easy. Which is fab because I’ve ruptured a disc in my back And with a numb leg, I cant sit or even stand for long. But I can edit video in bed! Yay me! These are intricate, non branded designs.

 

I love to use the Blend In sponges for dabbing ink and Layer Cake Paint through them. If you want a really clean paint application, make sure your paint is not watery- the creamier the better.
