I love Art Journaling because it has made me more creative, more expressive, more experimental and more confident (It has also made me collect every art supply in the universe. Yes, I am blaming the journals for my Rainbowitis ).
Since starting my own journaling journey, I have filled around 24 journals. Some I regard as too private and raw to share. Others are works in Progress that span a few years. I just completed my FrolicAholic Journal for 21 Secrets in a super-human-journaling-frenzy over a solid week! ( scroll on down for piccies).
I love starting them, finishing them and all that comes along in between. I am a journaling evangelist, and trumpet their worthiness to all who will listen! In Australia, Art Journaling is a very new art form and the discovery of a whole international Mixed Media community is a delicious surprise for many ( well it was for me!).
Cloth,Paper, Scissors mgazine has been a long-time supporter and cheerleader for Journalers and those wanting to take it up, and their new emag is like a moving journal! It’s interactive and full of videos that really capture the magic…( I’m already thinking how do I insert video in my journals… The new e-ink?). A great balance of inspiration and techniques. Art Journaling Exposed gathers together some AJing superstars… People who adore the artform… live it and breath it!
And to Celebrate the launch of Art Journaling Exposed, we, the contributing Artists are having a blog hop this weekend. So if you are starting with me, I will see you later after you have jumped all around and are starry eyed with inspiration! And if you have hopped here from a fellow site – a big welcome and I hope you leap back soon!

Early reviews for Art Journaling Exposed have been phenomenal – it is really, really, REALLY good! My feature is first, so I set the bar kind of high… heh! I did an animation of the art supplies I reviewed! Where else are you going to see Aqua Markers, Inktense blocks and a Gelato dancing on the journal pages they just helped create? lol!
P.s. One of my beloved students said I was a little ‘restrained’ in my videos, but she is used to seeing me kissing and cuddling up to my art supplies, bike-riding around Paris being narrowly missed by baguettes and demonstrating how to draw a face with a stick in wet sand. I save THAT stuff till you know me better!
