I spent last week on Aunty duties… what a great job! Unfortunately my niece and nephews are a 2 day car ride away and I don’t see them as often as i would love to, so I am still on cloud happyland after a great week with them.
One of my favourite things to do with the kiddos is draw (it’s also my favourite thing to do fullstop, but especially fun with little people!). On my last night we had a big draw up before bed with Sophies l’il pal – they are so cute together, so I drew them:
This is what Sophie drew sitting alongside me. Every so often she would demand I slow down.
It’s cool man. Sophie’s beautiful Mum came in to the room to see what we were all up to, and we decided that an arm wrestle may occur over Sophies drawing… so, I have it for now to scan it… but… how can I give it up? Waaaaaaaah! (if you read this Amy, don’t worry, i definitely will return it… someday…… kidding!)
And adorable Evie drew Tinsel:
And Warning: complete cuteness overload about to happen:
I loved helping little Soph with her reading homework… how we baby humans convert weird symbols and tokens into words that make comprehensive sentences is a little bit on the miraculous side of life. It’s like watching a rainbow form… its a rather magic experience.
Look at the ‘Crad’ with his arms flung wide for a hug… and the ‘Flingfishe’ with scooting along streaks… and the ‘dofn’ with it’s happy face… that itty bitty ‘seahose’, and the ‘mormad’ swimming over them all. Love.
And look at this… I will decipher for you ” Evie and Hamish are in love and I saw them kiss and they are in love” See Evie’s feet flying up in the air? They really must be in Lav. I am going to die of the cuteness!
Sophie invited my to her kindy to teach an art class – and we made a group Art Journal! More news next week!
