Just as with the original Colour Libraries, the hues in this collection are inspired by some of the most beloved and profound classic books such as Watership Down, Huckleberry Finn, On Golden Pond, The Color Purple and The Jungle Book.
This professional grade set has highly concentrated pigment for vibrant and lightfast color. It is naturally transparent and has a strong tinting strength making for unexpected and wonderful layering results.

The set includes three cool primary colours so you can easily learn to mix your own colours too!
You will find exceptional colour release which makes the 6 mixing hues a delight to create with. The warm and cool mixing colours will teach you so much!
For example, Les Miserables is a Cadmium-Free red ( which means it is non-toxic) so intense that it liberates the mind and Bell Jar is a french ultramarine that will leave an impression over the generations, just as the book has.
There is also a series of granulating, deep and rich tones to captivate the watercolorists senses!
For example, ‘The Crucible’ is a rich iron oxide caput mortuum which literally means ‘dead head’ in Latin. I know it sounds a bit morbid but it makes sense when you use it as the the colour is to die for!
‘Persuasion’ is a vibrant permanent magenta that pierces the soul!
Each of the colours is specially selected for its intrinsically usefulqualities and mixed with premium pigments.
