Stencils are such fun and a wonderful way to change direction with a page.

I had some very colourful pages in my journal, that were vibrant and fun to create and utterly directionless. I love creating swathes of colour purely for the sake seeing what will happen. I use left over paint on stencils, brushes and fingers to fill up these catchall pages.

Eventually it is full, and the next stage of the journal page’s life begins!

I decided to use a blue Liquitex spraypaint with the new Jill K Berry  stencil set. The spraypaints are non-toxic and dry matte. Jill’s new stencils are intricate, but have enough open space in them for distinct colour. As with all Artistcellar stencils, they are made well with no flimsyness – perfect for spraypaint!

And that’s where the video picks up:

I love the odd text… “Doing  business with a bear, Don’t sit down ‘cos I moved your chair” it was from the song I was listening to at the time and the page turned into a technicolour tribute to Goldilocks.

Crazy rainbow fun yes?

The official name of the stencils are “Artistcellar Signature Series Stencils by Jill K Berry”
The series is called “TEXTures 2”
The individual stencil names (which are pretty cool!) are:
