If you scoot back through this blog you will see there has been a MASSIVE career change from my photographic art. I thought it morphed to painting, drawing, art journaling and teaching. But when I look at my work now, all I see is mermaids.
Last week I chatted about my Gut leading me around. And now I know how old it is – about 7! I just realised I went from one childhood obsession: ladybirds, to another: mermaids. My other one was dinosaurs – so heaven knows how that will work it’s way back into my life! I thought I was making sane, adult, considered decisions… but no! I am the same 7 year old girl with yellow pigtails poking horizontally out of the sides of my head. And she is in charge of my career changes.
I have known from day dot that I was a mermaid in a former life – it’s a stone, cold fact. And it seems I am not the only one who can relate to the mistresses of the sea. Mermaid Circus is full of equally aquatic-souled artists. We are having SUCH a great time.
And look at the ART…
This is just a smidgen, a little tiny inth of the juicy, soulful deliciousness that is pouring into the classroom every day. You have heard me say this before… and you will no doubt hear it again… I friggen love my job.
Mermaid Circus is way bigger and more amazing than Teesha and I could ever dream – and I for one can dream pretty BIG! The love in the classroom is BRIGHT.
Anyway, I can’t hang around here all day chatting, I have to jump back into the Mermaid Circus…lol!
xoxo
