The days roll by in slow motion from the 26th to the 31st . I feel like I have more space. Do feel that way too?
I feel tranquil and relaxed. I even watched a little weekend tv ( PopAsia on SBS2 – awesome!) and had a nap. Angus and I are getting a few home chores done, the small niggling ones that have quietly been waiting for their turn. We are planning out the yearly calendar and making sure everything ‘fits’ with ease.
I’m polishing ‘nearly finished’ journals. Tweaking artwork from the year. It’s very satisfying! I’m posting journal flips, before and afters, and general work in progress on my Instagram. My Mum and Dad are here with me too, and you can see my mothers 4KG (!!!!!) journal.
Holidays at home are amazing. It’s good to catch my breath and relish a true vacation!
But I know all the excitement of life is just around the corner, and I am looking forward to leaping into the whirlwind again. And the first colourful whirlwind will be Lifebook!

I am going to be teaching on Life Book 2016 for my 5th year with this juggernaught of loveliness. Life Book, is a year-long mixed media art class organised by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts ( who is my friend and will be staying with me at the Nest soon – yaaaay!)
23 incredible art teachers are all gearing up to share their mixed media techniques, tips and tricks with YOU! Themed around self-development and healing, you’ll be creating several loose mixed media art journal pages per month which by the end of the year you will bind into a glorious journal (a Life Book)! You will have a wonderful keepsake that you can treasure for the rest of your life!
You can find out a lot more about this wildly popular course by clicking HERE .
My class is called ‘Shadow Lands’. We will be exploring the landscape of the face by adding shadowy watercolours. I’m excited to be sharing techniques with you!
Registration is open now and class begins on January 1st 2016.
Will you be joining in?
xoxo
