How do you make fairies even more magical?

They are already magic beings, right? Immortal, shimmery, able to disappear, fly and recreate reality on a whim…This was the dilemma facing me as i prepared for the Live version of Joynal starting on November 12th.

I know it’s a reeeeeeeeally busy time of year, that many of you are going through election burn-out and budgets are tightening up for the end-of-year splurge! And me saying “let’s draw fairies” seems trivial next to all this world-shaking stuff… but continuing to nourish your creative soul is important,  and an online class that allows you to still nurture your art over a hectic and emotional time can be a mind-saver!

Drawing fairies is great practice for figure drawing and they have the power to lift the spirit as you are doing so. An added bonus is having the confidence to sit with a child and draw a fairy or mermie for them – believe me – if you want to impress a little munchiken, creating a magic drawing for them will do it! You will be the best Mummy/Mommy/Aunty/ Granny/Nanna/Fairy Godmother ever!

So… what did I come up with? Well I have my brand new niece and nephew to thank for the inspiration. My sisters twins hatched a little early ( they are so cute!), sending my timetable into joyful disarray! And it got me thinking in twos, pairs and doubles…

Twin offer number 1:

When you Join Joynal,  I  double all of your Major Workshop memberships! All of my workshops come with 12 months membership, and this is a wonderful opportunity to double the value of all each workshop! This applies to all past, present and future Joynal participants in Draw Happy, Supplies Me and I Heart Drawing! So all Joynalers, get 12 months added to all of my Major workshops from their original start date. How good is that?!

Twin offer number 2:

I am going to add a very special lesson to Joynal… I receive a request every week to have these abovetwins put into a class! They are in the Header on School site. This will be an extra lesson on getting smooth skin-tones with alcohol markers (copics, promarkers, spectrum noirs etc), drawing sleepy and serene faces and long flowing hair.

If you are one of my awesome students ( like Bridie and Annette above) , go to the Schoolroom site and look under Workshops for your special Alumni discount.
