Well, that was a lot of entries! Thank you to everyone who entered for a Scholarship to ‘Miss Quoted’! I have really enjoyed reading all the quotes and can’t wait to include some of them in my lesson for the workshop!
The first Lesson for the workshop only went up yesterday. It is a wonderful class on creating your own Miss Quoted Alphabet from Joanne Sharpe!
I am filming my lessons on loose, ink sketching now. Mistakes happen and we learn to just move through them. Accept them as part of the whole experience of being a creative soul. As we travel through the lesson we will be bringing the lettering and artwork together in wild, creative and exciting ways!
If you are looking for some inspiration, have a skim through the 400 + entries!
The most often quoted woman was the fabulous Audrey Hepburn. What a treasure to humanity she was.
The workshop has just started so the winner will need to get their little caboose into class quick-smart!
So….. Who was the winner?
Megan!
From three of my all time favourite women…
“All that attention to the perfect lighting, the perfect this, the perfect that, I find terribly annoying.”
Meryl Streep
“Free yourself from Perfectionitis and revel in your creativity.”
” Trust the mess”
Jane Davenport
And lastly my late Mum who passed from cancer, who said so curiously moments before she passed
“why are you crying honey?”…..
Now, 4 years later when I think of her last words to me I think “Trust the mess”.
Thanks Jane. xx
