The totally delightful Tam Laporte is my new Stencil Sister at Artistcellar. She joins Jill. K. Berry, Chris Cozen and myself. Artistcellar specialise in really different stencils, and the quality is fabulous – something every mixed media artist with a jar of modelling paste in one hand and spray paint in the other will testify to!
I started this journal page at my last weekend Art Retreat at The Nest. We played with all sorts of colour and ways to fill the page and then built our images from the chaos. So. Much. Fun.
I am WILD about the new fluoro colour set from Montana – ( Fire Red and Gleaming Pink make me lose my mind a little with their major awesomeness). So I used them with stencils.
Here is another spread with collage, painting and stencils.
I adore the little Whimsical houses and castles… a subtle touch, but each layer adds ideas and meaning.
Tam has a set of inspirational words to help people who are nervous of journaling,
or don’t like their own handwriting. I like the pattern they form when they are reversed.
You can get them from my store here: www.instituteofcute.com/stencil-series/ or from artistcellar.com
Now I get to give a set of each Series!
One will get the Tam’s Whimsy set and one will get the Tam’s Inspiration set.
You just need to make sure you are signed up to my newsletter
and post your favourite inspirational quote below!

Tam Laporte is a wonderful person, artist and friend. I am so proud of her achievements with creating Life Book, which is a year long online art smorgasbord! One of the very first online workshops I did was with Tam. The sense of community she has built around her is rather wonderous! I have been part of Lifebook from the beginning, and if you are not yet, you can change that for 2014!

UPDATE:
Scroll through for some WONDERFUL quotes!
from Lin: “I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.
Delicious Ambiguity.”
― Gilda Radner
from Judy: “Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing.” Georgia O’Keeffe
‘Love me when I least deserve it, because that’s when I really need it’ swedish proverb
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. Oscar Wilde
.“You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

I have let glamour rule the day with these two quotes:
From Stephanie:
One of my favorite inspirational quotes is from Audrey Hepburn…
”Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
From M.Austen:
