The 12 inks in the Legends of The Sea set are truly remarkable.
They are all named for infamous characters, vessels, places and myths of the deep because each bottle contains creative secrets in it’s inky depths!

The 8 Sheen Inks are very special! A Sheen ink, by definition, is created when an ink dries and appears to be a different color when looked at from an anglewith a metallic or oil slick appearance. 

 This look can be accentuated with paper choice (more on that later).  The more ink you use, the more sheen.
It’s hard to capture the full effect in a photo! a slightly slower dry time is critical to sheen because it means pooling and collecting of ink which means more ink saturation and more sheen!It’s hard to explain these inks because they change as you look at them. The effect will depend on the surface and amount of ink you place. In these images, I changed the angle of the camera to show how the colours and texture change as you move the paper!

Gradient Inks build from light tones to dark or even one colour to another without effort.  The four Gradient inks in the ‘Legends of the Sea’ Set are called Kraken, Leviathan, Moby Dick and The Sirens.
The subtle colours are a soft yet dynamic contrast to the magnificence of the Sheening inks!
