It’s been non-stop since the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show!
Angus and I had a quick 1 day pitstop to see the furbabies ( heart warming reunion for all concerned !) and have a surf! I also was able to edit the video for my PrismaDonna tool workshop for Lifebook. If you are a regular reader here (big loves to you!), you know how much I adore Prismacolor pencils, so it will not come as a surprise that I am developing a whole workshop devoted to them.
And then off we went to the Sydney Royal Easter Show! We will be here until next Wednesday the 18th. I have some art supply essentials in the store and a few of my Art Journals to share, but we are in ‘ladybird mode’ for the main part!
My photographic art is a key feature in the Flower Pavilion, and has been for the past 6 years! This week I start my on-stage talks about bugs – especially the good ones you get in the garden. My book ‘The Garden Guardians’ won the HMA Environmental Book Prize recently… and yes, I am an insect expert…but definitely NOT an entomologist… I’m an ARTomologist!
So if you come along for a visit to ‘The Royal’, make sure you look up to see the GIANT 3m x 3m artworks decorating the Pavilion! They feature flowers, butterflies, and my trademark ladybirds of course!
And while all of this fun and adventure is going on I am super busy organising all the fairies into getting the Joynal classroom ready.
This workshop opens on April 30th and is going to be my best yet – and I don’t say that lightly!
It’s so much more than a drawing class – i have plans… juicy, crazy fun, seriously-harness-your-creative-potential type plans. I mean it!
