LifeBook 2014 give-away!

 In Creativity, Workshops

I have a spot to give away for LifeBook 2014. Just make sure you are signed up to my Newsletter List ( see sidebar) and leave a comment below telling me what you love about online learning.

LifeBook is a year-long visual smorgasbord of techniques and fun. Tam Laporte always organises an incredible line-up of teachers from around the world! And you can visit us on on out blog hop  this week – ( see the post below for all the links).

2014 will be my third year as part of the LifeBook team and I am mega-proud to be part of it all from the beginning. We have all worked hard to create something remarkable, including the students!

My lesson for 2014 is pretty early because I have so many fun commitments popping up. And I am really excited about creating it!

So sign up to my Newsletter and leave a comment about your favourite elements of online classes and FINGERS CROSSED! Tinsel will select the winner next week.

The Winner is:

Julie London!

Her answer was:

“Going at my own pace.  The flexibility of sharing work I’ve done, or not. Reviewing lessons as much or as little as I need.  Having access to lessons after class has formally ended.  Facebook group for class is awesome!!! Easy access to classmates. Completing lessons in bed with laptop and a cup of tea.  No worries about “bedhead” and mismatched socks while painting and collaging my heart out.  Listening to loud music while completing lessons.  Eating gobs of chocolate while completing lessons, and not worrying that classmates may think that my snacking while drawing with my markers has crossed the line.  The chance to learn from teachers living outside of the US. Participating in class whether I am in an introverted or extroverted frame of mind.  Online classes have been an answer to my prayers for accessing consistent art-related work habits. Would really love to participate in Lifebook 2014!!!!!”

Am taking Mermaid Circus & though I am behind I am finally starting 1st week of work and actually think I will be through before January 26 so am hoping to not only share what I’ve done but really get the most out of that class – Life Book14 & previous years had really intrigued me and I think this year just might be the year for me to committ to it ! The idea of being able to learn from all these amazing women and to be committed to a year long process seems right – & the price seems incredible and so many instructors are even offering a free class !

Jane yours was the first online course I took and I am so glad I did. Its was I heart Drawing. I love everything about online learning. Especially the fact that I can learn from so many gorgeous teachers overseas and expand and share the joy of creativity without having to travel. Plus the convenience of learning at my time.

Online courses are wonderful! One can watch and learn right at home, at a convenient time, and view again techniques of particular interest. So much travel is out of the question for me, so having all these artists available right here on my laptop is incredible! Then there is the community full of creative sharing with their comments, etc. It is definitely a win-win for all involved. I hope with all my heart to win a spot in this Lifebook class. Thank you.

While I enjoy taking “live” courses, they don’t always fit into my schedule. The beauty of online is the “go at your own pace” aspect. This looks like an exciting chance to work with great artists and I’d love to win a spot.

Online learning is great because it fits into whatever my schedule is! I’ve taken several online classes but never an online art class so this is quite interesting to me.

I am a very slow, but thoughtful artist. Online learning allows me the time I need to digest the concepts, and incorporate them into my art projects. Plus, I get to stretch out the experience of arting by spreading out my lessons over time. I love that too!

I love most about online classes is that I can create right in my art studio and not have to worry about what to bring / what I’m missing because it’s all around me 🙂 I’m currently taking Lifebook 2013 and LOVE it!

luv online courses because it enables me to participate in a class where other wise due to distance and funds I would not be able to do so……plus I can review the class when and how many times I want which at my age comes in useful when you forget things very easy…yep it’s that time of life !!!!
